Reporting Hate Crime
“Safe in South Yorks” is a self-reporting project, set up in South Yorkshire in 2000. It is aimed at increasing the reporting of hate crime against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) communities. The information is made up of posters, leaflets, self-reporting packs and email reporting from a dedicated website: safe in southyorks
The self reporting pack and email reporting system have been seen as a proactive way of increasing the reporting of incidents.
