The Community Link Workers

POPPs is funding 16 new Community Link Workers - employed by Age Concern.  Each link worker will work in a different area of the city, identifying older people who need ‘a bit of assistance’ to help them carry on their daily life.

 

The service will concentrate on people who may otherwise ‘fall through the net’.  As well as providing advice and information, the link workers will help the person to apply for services, and look at other local activities and facilities that could help them.
