Foster Carer Discounts

Leisure and Entartainment Discounts

 
  • Smart Sheffield - a scheme run by Sheffield City council which gets you discounts at various sports and leisure venues across the city. Visit the Smart Sheffield web pages for more information (please note the page this links to has information on the SLICE Card which is the old name for the Smart card, the information is correct).
 
  • Sheffield Steelers - All Sheffield City Council Foster carers receive a pass which along with your Foster carer ID Card gives you free entry for up to 6 children with every full paying adult.  Passes are valid at Steelers home games played at the Hallam FM arena only.  Visit the Sheffield Steelers website for more information about the club and games.
 
  • Megacentre, MegaKidz play centre.  Soft Play centre. Foster carers get kids in for free on Mondays on production of your foster carer ID Card. (normal prices apply on all other days). Visit the Megacentre website for more information on the centre and play times.
 
  • The Pirate Ship - Soft Play Centre.  Term Time discounted price per child £1.95.  School Holidays discounted price £2.95 per child.  You will need to show your foster carer id card to gain these discounts.  Visit the Pirate Ship website for more information on play times.
 
  • Vue Cinema Meadowhall - Foster carers get a discount of £1.50 at all times upon production of your foster carer id card. Visit the Vue Cinema website for details of film times.

Retail and other types of discounts

 
  • Costco - All Sheffield Council Foster Carers can now get a Costco card by showing their Foster Carer ID card plus a recent utility bill, phone bill or bank statement.  The Costco card is normally only available to trade customers.  There is an annual fee with this card.  Visit the Costco website for more information about their branches.
 
  • Makro - All Sheffield Council Foster carers can get a Makro card free of charge through Family Placement Services, contact  Layla.wilson@sheffield.gov.uk Visit the Makro website for more information on their branches.
 
  • JTF Trade and Business Warehouses - All Sheffield Council Foster Carers can get a JTF card through Family Placement Services contact Layla.wilson@sheffield.gov.uk  for more information.  Visit the JTF website for more information about their company.
 
  • Early Learning Centre - Foster Carers get a 10% discount on all purchases, ask in store for details - you, will need your foster carer ID card. Visit the Early Learning Centre website for more information on their stores and latest offers.
