The following is about how and where you can get information about using public transport.
General
The following are available for information about bus, tram and train options in Sheffield and South Yorkshire:

- Visit one of Sheffield's Travel Information Centres.
- See the Travel South Yorkshire website - including timetables, travel news, Park & Ride, and YourNextBus (finding out when your next bus is actually going to arrive).
Journey Planning
Try one of these options to work out which service to use and where to set off and get off :
- Traveline Yorkshire is the website for planning all local public transport journeys. You can also call 01709 515151.
- National Rail is the best website for national rail journeys and booking tickets.
- Transport Direct is the government's website that covers all national public transport, including coach journeys.
Tickets
Day tickets and many week and month tickets can be bought on the relevant buses and trams. Rail tickets generally need to be bought before getting on the train.
