Travel Awareness Partners
The Council works with other organisations (through Travel Plans, as well as events and schemes) to raise awareness of travel options in Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE) works with partner organisations including the Council to develop public transport services. Travel South Yorkshire is the brand that links all information about public transport in the county together.
South Yorkshire TravelWise
The councils in Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster as well as the SYPTE work together through the South Yorkshire TravelWise group to promote Travel Plans and raise awareness of travel options in the county.
A South Yorkshire education and awareness-raising campaign around air quality issues, coordinated by Sheffield City Council.
A multi-agency partnership aimed at reversing the current decline in active living in the City and increasing levels of physical activity, particularly in the most needy groups.
The Council is a member of the Association of Commuter Transport - a national network of organisations that share ideas and experience on how to encourage travel that is better for the environment and congestion.
