Scheme Consultation
We seek feedback and use it to continually improve our services, in particular we welcome and value your comments and suggestions about any highway schemes that we propose.
We do this by consulting the local community before deciding whether or not to implement any proposals.
If a scheme does go ahead further consultation is carried out after implementation to establish wether the scheme has delivered what was planned and if it can be further improved.
A satisfaction survey is also carried out to ascertain we did what we said we were going to do and the manner in which we did it.

Road Safety Consultation:- Long Line in May 2007
Over the last couple of months, the Council has consulted with the public on this trial scheme by sending out questionnaires. This has produced an excellent response; we have received over 450 completed questionnaires, so “Thank you” to everyone who filled one in.
Officers are now analysing these responses in conjunction with the traffic data that has been collected. A report will be presented to the Council’s Area Planning and Highways Board in the Autumn. The survey results can seen in the downloadable documents at the bottom of this page.
