Sheffield Motorists Forum
The Sheffield Motorists Forum enables drivers in Sheffield to have a say about issues important to themselves, to people in their local area and the city overall. You might like to join the forum or make comments for the forum to consider.
The forum is run by the Council. It meets once a quarter (on the third Thursday of the month) at 4.30pm in the Town Hall. For details of future meetings or how to take part see below.
Background
The forum was established following successful meetings of the Traffic Summit involving the Council, representatives of business, The Star and motoring organisations and individuals. The Summit meetings addressed congestion in Sheffield and helped the Council to better understand the views of motorists.
Given the continuing importance of transport to the city, its people and economy and the pivotal role that transport plays in addressing environmental concerns, it was agreed that these occasional meetings should be replaced by a standing body - the Sheffield Motorists Forum.
About the forum
The forum helps the Council to communicate directly with the motoring public in much the same way that it does with specialist groups such as motorcyclists, pedestrians and cyclists.
Minutes of the forum meetings will appear at the bottom of this page when ready.
You do not have to be a member of the forum to raise questions or make a contribution about issues that effect motorists - see below.
