A Dropped Kerb Crossing
If you want to construct a new vehicular access (also called a "dropped crossing") to your property, you must have permission from the Highway Auyhority to do so.

If the location of the proposed vehicular crossing is on a classified road, in a Conservation Area or is to a Listed Building you will also need planning permission. You will need to apply for this separately and the Planning Department can be contacted on (0114) 2734215 or email at planningdc@sheffield.gov.uk.

Information on classified roads can be obtained from our Highway Records Office on 0114 2736125, email at highwayrecords@sheffield.gov.uk or can be viewed at the classified road web page.
