Sharrow Vale Permit Parking Scheme
The Sharrow Vale permit parking scheme came into operation on the 1st October 2007. The scheme is aimed at easing severe parking problems which have existed in the Sharrow Vale area for many years. Measures include the introduction of permit parking, pay and display parking and waiting restrictions, applying Mondays to Saturdays 8.00am and 6.30pm only. This will improve residents’ ability to park near their properties, create a turnover of parking spaces to benefit shoppers and business clients, and protect junctions and accesses from being obstructed.
Restrictions and Scheme Boundary
The scheme covers an area bounded by Ecclesall Road, Psalter Lane, Sharrow Lane, London Road and St Mary’s Road. If you park in this area please carefully check the signs and lines at that specific location and take care to comply with the restrictions.
Please note that the single yellow lines on Ecclesall Road indicate that there is a peak hour waiting and loading restriction, details of which can be found on adjacent signs.
Elsewhere within this zone a single yellow line means No Waiting, Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Additional signing is not required in relation to this restriction as the hours of operation are shown on Zone Entry signs.
Please do not stop on School Keep Clear markings during school hours or park at locations where yellow lines are in place.
If you contravene any of the parking restrictions in this area you could be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
