Crookesmoor Permit Parking Scheme
Latest news
The Crookesmoor permit parking scheme came into operation on the 4th August 2008. With full enforcement of the scheme commencing the 18th August 2008. A mixture of permit holder parking, pay and display bays and some unrestricted parking has been introduced in the area, applying to Mondays to Fridays 8.00am and 6.30pm only.
Warning notices where issued during the first two weeks of the scheme to ensure those parking in the area where aware of the changes. However, yellow lines within the scheme where enforced. We would encourage motorists to make sure that they understand the new restrictions by checking signs in the area.
With these changes, we’re trying to be fair to everyone who wants to park in the area, but it is difficult to get this kind of thing right first time, so we want to hear from local people about how it’s actually working on the ground. Six months on, we will review the changes and will listen and act on feedback so that we improve the way that the scheme works.
The application form for applying for up to two parking permits can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
