Explanation of Common Signs and Lines which denote Parking Restrictions

The following lines and the associated signs are the most commonly used ones in relation to parking restrictions.  Please note that the term "No Waiting" effectively means "No Parking.

Please note that double yellow lines do NOT need any additional signs.

Also please note that a single yellow line within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) also does NOT need a sign.  The "No Waiting" restriction on a single yellow line within a CPZ applies for the same period as the operational hours of the zone.  There will be signs at the entry to a CPZ showing the operational hours.
