Disabled Person's Parking
Disabled badge holders can park free of charge in any of the Council’s off-street car parks or on-street parking bays.
They may park for a maximum of three hours on single or double yellow lines where there are no loading / unloading restrictions that apply and providing they don’t cause an obstruction to other road users or pedestrians.
Disabled drivers who:
- cause an obstruction at a junction
- park in a way that traffic cannot flow freely
- park where a loading or unloading restriction is in force
- park in a taxi rank, a bus stop, a clearway, a bus stop or on a school “Keep Clear” marking
will be treated as any other driver and will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notices (PCN)
