Signs, Bollards and Signals

A street with Belisha beacons

Maintenance

Street Force maintains all illuminated bollards, road regulation and direction signs in Sheffield.

The majority of routine maintenance on traffic signals (traffic lights) is undertaken by TSC, a private contractor to Sheffield City Council. However Street Force does carry out maintenance work on traffic signals, predominately work associated with knockdowns and cabling.

Street Force provide emergency attendance at incidents to make signs, bollards or signals safe following a knockdown - our target response time for such incidents that are reported to us is 2 hours.

School crossing "flasher" lights and belisha beacons are all maintained by Street Force.

For further details regarding the maintenance or installation of signs, bollards or signals phone the Street Force Contact Centre on (0114) 273 4567.
