Organised Walks

Woodland walk

The following are organisations that run group walks.

The walks will have set times and routes and a walk leader.  In many cases the walks can be adapted to different needs.

For walks you can go on at your leisure see Walking Maps and Leaflets.

Get Walking Keep Walking

Do you want to walk more but don't know where to start?  Contact Get Walking Keep Walking about increasing how much you do.

Different walks are available all year round.  The walks are from local centres, so you won't need to travel far to get involved, and are designed to be easy going.

Sheffield Healthy Walks

The Council organises easy going walks between 30 and 45 minutes through parks and green spaces to help people increase their fitness levels.  See Health Walks in Sheffield for an extensive list of weekly walks around the city.

City Centre Ambassadors Tour

The City Centre Ambassadors are providing free tours of the city centre, in particular through Devonshire Green, Barkers Pool, Fargate, Winter Gardens, Peace Gardens and Howard Street.

The tours include:
  • An introduction to notable buildings, institutions and open spaces in the city centre
  • An outline of the Council's major schemes and developments along the Gold Route (Peace/Winter Gardens to Sheffield Rail Station)
  • Stories and anecdotes of memorable city centre events.

Regular days and times haven't been fixed yet.  Call 0114 273 6895 for more information.
