Why cycle?
Cycling can:
- Give you more energy
- Decrease your risk of developing colon cancer or coronary heart disease
- Improve your stamina, mobility and flexibility
- Help you to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight
- Help with anxiety and depression
- Improve your confidence and self esteem
Building cycling in to your daily routine can contribute to the recommended 30 minutes of moderate exercise at least 5 days a week. Active Sheffield is promoting physical activity in the city, which includes encouraging people to cycle.
