Building Schools for the Future

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a national programme to rebuild or refurbish secondary schools.

This site specific planning brief sets out our policies and standards and other factors relevant to the development of the site, and provides guidance on the form of development that will be acceptable. The Planning brief sets out key objectives to:

Provide an inspirational high quality new school incorporating accessible community facilities.
Take full advantage of the green and unique setting.
Achieve excellent building design.

All Saints Catholic and Seven Hills Schools Site

The consultation period for comments on the consultation draft Design and Planning Brief for the All Saints and Seven Hills School Site ended on the 12th December. A revised version of the document, produced after taking into account the comments received, is available to download below.

The revised Planning and Design Brief will be discussed at the City Centre, South and East Planning and Highways Area Board, on the 5th January. At the meeting Members will be asked to adopt the document as a material consideration when determining future planning applications for the site.

Bents Green School Site

The consultation period for comments on the consultation draft Design and Planning Brief for the Bents Green School Site ended on the 5th December. A revised version of the document, produced after taking into account the comments received, is available to download below.

Myers Grove School Site

The consultation period for comments on the consultation draft Design and Planning Brief for the Myers Grove School Site ended on the 21st November. A revised version of the document, produced after taking into account the comments received, is available to download below.

The revised Planning and Design Brief will be discussed at the next West and North Planning and Highways Area Board, on the 9th December. At the meeting Members will be asked to adopt the document as a material consideration when determining future planning applications for the site.
