Building Schools for the Future

Consultation document coverpage
Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a national programme to rebuild or refurbish secondary schools.

To support the BSF programme in Sheffield, site specific planning briefs have been prepared for each secondary school included in the programme. Each site specific planning brief sets out our policies and standards and other factors relevant to the development of each school site, and provides guidance on the form of development that will be acceptable. Each Planning brief sets out key objectives to:

  • Provide an inspirational high quality new school incorporating accessible community facilities.
  • Take full advantage of the green and unique setting.
  • Achieve excellent building design.
