Links and Work Experience
Can’t find what you need? Looking for work experience? Here is a list of some archaeological information resources that may be able to help.
The archaeology service does not run excavations. We occasionally take on volunteer placements for people interested specifically in heritage management or Sites and Monuments Record work. Those interested in gaining work experience with the archaeology service should send a CV and covering letter to either our email syorks.archservice@sheffield.gov.uk or postal address: South Yorkshire Archaeology Service, Development Services, Howden House, 1 Union Street, Sheffield S1 2SH.
