Searchable records and databases 

Online searching of numerous Sites and Monuments Records, Historic Environment Records and other archaeological databases and resources. This database also includes the South Yorkshire / North Derbyshire Medieval Ceramics Reference Collection
 
This includes Pastscape (an inventory of archaeological sites and historic buildings in England), Images of England (photographic record of England's 370,000 listed buildings), and Viewfinder (a browsable picture library of historic images from the NMR archive).
 
Online access to geographic information on key environmental schemes and designations including Scheduled Monuments, Registered Parks and Gardens, Battlefields, Ancient Woodlands, World Heritage Sites and English Heritage Regions.
 
Access to historical Ordnance Survey maps
 
The A2A database contains catalogues describing archives held locally in England and Wales and dating from the eighth century to the present day
