Sheffield Developer Panel
The Developer Panel was procured in July 2005 and was a preferred list of developers that had been selected to work with the Council and other partners to deliver high quality, innovative and sustainable new housing developments on cleared sites in Sheffield’s three Area Development Framework areas.
The Developer Panel comprised three sub – panels, one each for each small, medium and large Developers, to reflect the range of sites within the HMR programme. Developers were categorised as follows:
- Small Developers – 24 or less dwellings per site / package of sites
- Medium Developers – 25 – 75 dwellings per site / package of sites
- Large Developers – 76 or more dwellings per site / package of sites
Over the past three years a number of sites have been successfully released to the panel, with the preferred developers currently working up schemes to deliver new home on these sites. In July 2008 the Sheffield Developer Panel reached the end of its programmed duration and has now ended.
Currently, development sites within the HMR areas will be released to the open market through a number of channels. Notification of a site release will appear on this page, as well as in local and national media and in some instances the Official Journal of the European Union. Following from over 200 initial applications the Sheffield Designer Panel now comprises of 12 architects, 10 landscape architects, 8 urban designers and 5 renewable energy consultants.
The Panel will be used in 2 ways;
