This page gives you information on a major new development scheme which is proposed for Sheffield City Centre and we would like to hear what you think about it. 

 

The Sevenstone project, previously called the New Retail Quarter (NRQ) by the developer Hammerson plc consists of an eight block development in and around Barker's Pool, Pinstone Street, Cambridge Street and will include a new John Lewis store as the anchor.

 

The development will mainly be focused on introducing new retail units but it will also create apartments, car parking, public space and possibly a hotel.

 

You can download material on the Sevenstone from the foot of this page. The masterplan document gives an overview of the Sevenstone, the buildings are arranged by block numbers which relate to the map shown above.

 

Please note that the designs may have developed further by the time they are submitted as a planning application. Where a planning application for the approval of the design has been received the downloads are images from the application. Otherwise the images are taken from the exhibition held on the proposals in March 2008.
