The City Policies document will set out policies and criteria to guide planning advice and decisions.
Under the new system of plan making, local authorities are expected to begin consulting at an early stage and not wait until they have completed a draft plan. So, we consulted on Emerging Options for the City Policies in February-April 2006 and on Preferred Options for the City Policies in June-July 2007.
This document will be integrated into a new City Policies and Sites document, which will be published in draft for consultation in June/July 2010.
