What will be produced as part of the masterplanning exercise?

This will set a clear picture of what is currently happening in the area in relation to routes, open space, housing amongst other things. It will identify the important components of sustainable neighbourhoods in south Sheffield, looking at assets within the area and linking these with opportunities for the future.

Detailed Neighbourhood Development Frameworks (NDFs) will be created for both the Manor and City Road corridor. The purpose of these documents is to guide the physical development of the areas whilst providing a 'vision' for the future. They will also help set out how to deliver the changes that are needed.  If you would like to see some of the context for the work that has been going on you may also wish to download the initial draft interim concept boards for the two areas, which were consulted on in October 2006. These are available to download at the bottom of this page.

 

This strategy will be developed in tandem with the masterplanning exercises. The overall aims of this strategy are to maximise the long-term benefit of the investments in the area, particularly focussing on opportunities for local social enterprise.
