Overview of what's happening in the two areas
Neighbourhood Development Framework
As part of the Housing Market Renewal (HMR) programme, Sheffield City Council is working with consultants EDAW to produce two Neighbourhood Development Frameworks (NDFs); one for the Manor and one for the City Road Corridor.
The NDF's will focus on ways to make the area more sustainable including, amongst other things, taking into account opportunities for transport, housing, and service centre improvement.

What else is happening?
Bellway Homes have built new houses on the Manor and are in the process of completing another new phase of properties adjacent to Deep Pits Park.
A development site known as Manor 8, located at the intersection of Queen Mary Road, Fretson Road and Hastilar Road, is currently going through the Sheffield City Council Developer Panel. There will be a number of new houses built on this site for outright sale and low cost home ownership.
There are also a number of cleared sites in the area, which we are looking to transform. Many of these areas are being maintained by the Green Estate at the moment to promote an environment that is both safe and tidy. As part of their work, Manor Fields Park(formerly known as Deep Pits Park) is also undergoing some great changes with a new play area and safe walking paths being added.
