Travel Plan (draft)
A Travel Plan outlines in detail the processes for managing all travel impacts arising from a specific development. It aims to reduce the adverse environmental, economic and social impacts caused by increasing road traffic levels. A Travel Plan (and Transport Assessment) will generally be required for developments matching or exceeding the criteria set out below:

The Department of Transport has published Making Residential Travel Plans Work: Guidelines for new development, which reviews best practice and includes a useful checklist and guidance on the benefits of Travel Plans for housing developments.
