Heritage Statement - Conservation Area
The Council has issued separate guidance on what information needs to be submitted as part of either a Listed Building Application or an Application for Conservation Area Consent. Please follow this link to the Council's published guidance on the preparation of a supporting appraisal of a listed building. Some general guidance is provided in Design Statements.
Where Listed Building or Conservation Area Consent are required, and it is impossible to assess any related planning applications without proper consideration of the heritage issues, it will be a requirement to submit all the necessary applications together.
Conservation Area boundaries can be seen on Sheffield's Unitary Development Plan (UDP) Maps, where it is also intended to soon show all Listed Buildings as well. Further advice can be obtained from Urban Design and Conservation team.
