Enforcement Work

Section 215(s215) of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 allows a local planning authority to take steps to require land or property to be cleaned up where its condition adversely affects the amenity of the area.
 
In Sheffield, our Enforcement team have been using these powers to force owners to make improvements to their properties. Where necessary the repairs have been carried out and costs recovered through court action.
