Sheffield Botanical Gardens

Peak District National Park

Peak District National Park Authority.
Tel: 01629 816200
Situated in the heart of England and covering part of six counties, the Peak District National Park lies at the southern end of the Pennine Hills just five miles from Sheffield City Centre. One third of Sheffield lies within its boundaries and visitors to the west of the city will see how easily the city nestles into the gently rolling moors and rugged peaks. There is so much to explore; remote wind-blown hilltops to tranquil dales; hard rock edges to traditional flower meadows; show caves to river valleys. It's a firm favourite with walkers, climbers and cyclists. More information on the Peak District.

If you want an easy way to explore the Peak District, why not join one of the linear walks organised by Transpeak Walks.  This not-for-profit voluntary group specialise in 'station to station' walks.  Guided walks are free of charge and you can find out more details, along with dates, by looking at http://www.transpeakwalks.co.uk/
