Eating and Drinking
Sheffield has every type of bar/pub and restaurant imaginable - so here is just a snippet.
Drinking in Sheffield
Head for Division Street & West Street for an excellent mix of places to eat and drink. This area is the focus for the city centre’s nightlife after dark. A great selection of bars are punctuated by those with a distinct Sheffield feel (try the Forum on Devonshire Street, the Lounge on Glossop Road, Muse on West Street or Trippets on Trippet Lane).
The bustling Ecclesall Road is known locally at the golden mile and has some of Sheffield’s best restaurants and bars. It’s the perfect place to soak up a little local atmosphere (try some local favourites- the Porter Brook or Champs for cocktail happy hour).
Country Pubs
As the UK’s greenest city you are bound to find yourself in the countryside. There are lots of hidden gems waiting to tempt you with mouth watering menus. Good starting points in the city centre include The Devonshire Cat on Wellington Street, the award winning Fat Cat on Alma Street (next to Kelham Island Museum and Brewery) or the Rutland Arms on Brown Street.
