Shire Brook Valley Visitor Centre is used by a wide range of groups including:
- schools groups
- youth groups
- learning for the disabled groups
The building may also suitable for other uses such as:
- conservation groups
- after school clubs
- a meeeting room for community groups
Details of the visitor centre
The visitor centre has:
- a large meeting area that contains a number of large tables and chairs
- a small kitchen area where food and drinks can be prepared and stored
- a large storage area for equipment for groups who may wish to use the building on a regular basis
- disabled access to the building and also disabled toilets
- a full time Ranger to support groups and provide educational activities
- over 100 hectares of land that is protected for nature conservation and recreation

The Visitor Centre is available for community organisations, commercial organisations and for private bookings.
