Parson Cross Park and Pavilion
Location
Parson Cross Park is situated within the north of the city at the junction of Elm Lane and Buchanan Road in Parson Cross, S5.
Facilities And Activities
Parson Cross Park offers a wide range of facilities and activities for all age groups. The Pavilion Coordinator and helpful staff are on hand to provide guidance and security for all users.
The park and pavilion is used as an all year round venue for a programme of activities and events organised by the Three Parks Project Officers and Parks Rangers.
There is an active 'Friends Group' who are working towards increasing the profile of the Park and stimulating new usage of the facilities.
Indoor
The New Pavilion provides a high standard of :-
- Sports changing
- Showers
- Toilet facilities
- Community Meeting Rooms - There are 2 community meeting rooms which are an ideal venue for play groups, community associations, senior citizens clubs, cultural groups, sports clubs, children’s parties and as a training venue for the local area.
- Full disabled access
- Baby changing
- Kitchen area – suitable for catering for upto 30 people
Outdoor
- Play Area - a safe mother and toddler children’s play area that meets the latest European safety standards and is a dog free area.
- Skate Park – The Skate Park provides a challenging range of items of equipment for skate boards and roller blades.
- Crown Green Bowling - The Crown Green Bowling area is available all year round and is a venue for local and district bowling competitions and fixtures.
- Floodlit Multi-Games Area - The multi-games area consists of three five-a-side areas and can accommodate tennis, netball and basketball. The multi-games area is in constant demand and can be hired by local clubs and groups throughout the year.
- Football Pitches - A major upgrading of the six football pitches has just been completed which has improved the drainage and playing surface and will allow the pitches to be used throughout the season. The football pitches meet the current standards of the local football leagues and are regarded as some of the best football playing surfaces within the city.
- Junior Football Pitches - New junior football pitches have been re-established in the Park allowing the site to meet the football needs of all age groups.
Visitor Information
The park is within the heart of the Parson Cross community and can be easily reached by walking, cycling, public transport and car.

- Car Parking - the park has a large car park, which is over looked from the pavilion and can accommodate up to 60 vehicles.
