Hillsborough Park is located approximately 3 miles north-west of Sheffield City Centre, off the A61 Penistone Road.
Size
20 Hectares.
Acquired
Most of the site was acquired from the Dixon Family by 1897, with Hillsborough Hall following in 1903.

Regeneration
Recent work has included rebuilding and extending the pavilion, extending the playground and creating a 'figure of eight' jogging and activities track within the park. These improvements have been funded mainly through the Active England project.
Events
There are a wide range of events in Hillsborough Park organised by Sheffield City Council and partner organisations. For more information on upcoming events ring the Park Rangers on 2326048.
Access
- By Car: There is a large car park within the park accessed from Parkside Road. (The car park is closed to the general public when Sheffield Wednesday have a home fixture.)
- By Tram: Hillsborough Park Tram Stop is on the yellow route to Middlewood.
- By Bus: Hillsborough Park is served by several bus routes, with the most frequent being the 20 and 53 First Mainline services. Route 20 runs past the park on Middlewood Road, while the 53 route follows Penistone Road.
