Friends of Groups and Volunteering

If you are a member of a ‘Friends of’ or other voluntary group involved in Sheffield’s parks and green spaces and you are interested in working with or attracting more volunteers then you will find more information on this page. 

 

Please use the Volunteering Opportunities link if you are an individual who is interested in volunteering in Sheffield’s parks and green spaces but you are not already a member of a 'Friends of' group.

 

The Community Partnerships Team at Parks and Countryside are currently working to actively engage more volunteers to work with our 'Friends of' groups.  It is hoped that volunteers who contact us can be directed to one of our many 'Friends of' groups already actively working in Sheffield’s' green spaces.  We are also working to encourage more corporate volunteers to get involved and to support local greens spaces and community based projects.

 

Parks and Countryside currently has a database containing contact details for many of the city's 'Friends of' groups.  We use this information to provide contact details to members of the public who are interested in volunteering or who would like to get more involved with a particular green space.  If you would like your group to be included on the database please contact us.
