Corporate Partnerships and Volunteering Opportunities
Parks and Countryside are working with a number of different businesses and organisations in voluntary partnerships and on volunteering projects that are helping to sustain and regenerate Sheffield’s green spaces.
If you work for a business that is near a park or green space and if you are interested in, or have benefited from, Sheffield's green environment and would like to get involved then please contact us. Businesses we have worked with have told us that they have really enjoyed the volunteering activities we have provided and have often returned for further volunteering events. Organisations can benefit from volunteering with us in the following ways:
- Team building
- Employee development
- Meeting corporate objectives for social responsibility
- Publicity
- Better links with the local community
- Learning new skills
- Giving something back to local people and/or the environment
If your organisation is interested in Sheffield’s green spaces and volunteering then we would like to invite you to lend your support to a local green space project.
We have opportunities for organisations who would like to take part in employee volunteering days or corporate sponsorship, either directly with the Parks and Countryside Service or working with community groups involved in green spaces. We have links to community groups all over Sheffield who would be glad of your time and/or any donations you would like to make.
For more information your can contact the Community Partnerships Team or email: parksandcountryside@sheffield.gov.uk
