The Friends of the Botanical Gardens Sheffield (FOBS) was formed in 1984 with the aims of promoting amateur gardening and supporting the Gardens.  It now has 500 members.  Working on a voluntary basis, FOBS contribute approximately 80 person-hours per week throughout the year to the maintenance and restoration of the Gardens.

As well as gardening, FOBS undertake all sorts of jobs including fund-raising, giving talks, taking photographs and distributing leaflets.  The members come from all walks of life and bring a wide range of skills.

New members are always welcome!
