Art in the Gardens is a truly wonderful major event that those of you who enjoy art, craft and quality entertainment must experience!
The gardens are transformed into an art and craft 'village' where you can get lost amongst the avenues and walkways created by the vast numbers of exhibiting artist and craftspeople displaying a wide variety of creations.
In it's fifth year "Art in the Gardens" is already proving to be a serious contender as the largest outdoor art exhibition in the North of England and Sheffield Botanical Gardens is, without doubt, the most beautiful venue that you could wish to visit.
Art in the Gardens is a wonderful, enjoyable and entertaining major event for all of the family. If you are looking to purchase a piece of fine art or craft then you would be hard pressed to find a better selection of incredible work than at the Sheffield Botanical Gardens, in the first weekend in September.

Howard Simpson(Co-organiser) said “This major event is dedicated to celebrating ‘Art’ in its broadest sense, and we have an incredible selection of artworks from a wide variety of media and subjects”.
Exhibitors are given the option of having their work included in the various juried competitions for professional and amateur artists, or simply to display for sale and for the public’s enjoyment. Artists with stalls are encouraged to work on current pieces of art so that people can see how these develop and can interact with the artists and chat about their works of art.
Fun activities are organized to encourage children to enjoy ‘art and the environment’, and there will be lots of entertainment, so people can stay and make a day of the event.
Preview Evening - from 7.30pm, Friday 5th of September 2008.
Tickets for the preview evening are on a first come first served basis and are available at £6.00 per adult (sorry no children) from the Parks and Countryside Reception, Meersbrook Park, Brook Road, Sheffield, on Wednesday to Friday's, or by contacting Margaret Howsham on 0114 2500500.
