Events in Parks and Countryside
Sheffield Parks & Countryside host over 400 events each year offering a varied programme with something for everyone to enjoy icluding major events, Ranger events and community events
These range from major outdoor events like Sheffield Fayre and Art in the Gardens to community events such as carnivals, festivals, sporting events and fun days. Many fund-raising events are held with over £100,000 raised annually for charities and other worthy causes.
In addition to those held in our parks and open spaces, some events take advantage of the beautiful countryside that falls within the city boundary and beyond. These include guided walks, cross-country runs, orienteering, bike rides and camping events.
The Parks & Countryside Ranger Service offers a wide range of events with activities for all ages, and works closely with community groups to improve the environment by organising activity days. Full details of all Ranger events are in the Ranger Events booklet which is available to download from the Ranger Service web page.
