Darnall Green Spaces Regeneration Project
The Darnall area is occupied by an active vibrant community who are keen to improve and raise its profile. Partnership between Sheffield City Council, the local community, Friends Groups and money from funders, has ensured sustainable work has been carried out. Please see our quarterly newsletter, which provides current information on what has been happening. This newsletter is available to download at the bottom of the page.
Alongside community events, each year Darnall Carnival is organised by Darnall Community Action Plan, supported by Sheffield City Council and the Darnall Forum. What can only be described as a fun, festive, event the Carnival attracts crowds of over 3000 people from the local area and afar.
The Darnall health walks scheme set up in partnership with Darnall Well Being Group, has been running successfully since 2000. The hour long walk on a Monday morning proving to be the most popular attracts around 20 keen walkers and starts from High Hazels Park Old Cafe Building at 11am. If you can’t make a Monday don’t dismay there are other walks set up at different times during the week. If you would like to join the health walks or would like more information please contact Darnall Well Being on 0114 2812297
