Green Flag Award Winners
Sheffield’s parks and green spaces have scooped five prestigious Green Flag and two Community Green Pennant Awards in 2007.
The Green Flag Award scheme is the national standard for parks and green spaces across England and Wales, and recognises the value of green spaces in communities and rewards excellent standards of park management.

Councillor Bryan Lodge, Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Green Spaces said:
“The Green Flag award is the national standard for Parks and Green Spaces in communities, particularly urban environments. It rewards excellent standards of park management and continued year on year improvements. Our Green City is one we should be proud of... these awards truly reflect this.”
The Green Flag Award scheme is managed by The Civic Trust on behalf of CABE Space, and it has backing in England from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, English Heritage, The Countryside Agency, English Nature, Calor; and in Wales, the Countryside Council for Wales.
