Do I qualify for the card?
Yes - if you are a Sheffield resident who is:
- 60 years or older
- A full time student aged 18 years or older
- Undertaking a 'non-waged' training scheme such as the non-waged elements of New Deal and Foundation Modern Apprenticeships
- A Blue or Orange Badge holder
- Registered blind/partially sighted or deaf
- Registered disabled with Social Services
- A child (between 5 and 17 years old) or partner/spouse who is directly dependent on someone receiving 'income-related' benefits. For children - benefit and child benefit proof must be shown to qualify and the adult must make the application on the child's behalf. For partners/spouses - proof of dependency must be shown to qualify
- A child (between 5 and 17 years old) who is 'looked after' by the local authority - either in a foster home or a residential home
- A carer - must be receiving ‘Carer's Allowance’
Or a Sheffield Resident receiving at least one of the following:
- Income Support
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Benefit
- Job Seeker's Allowance
- Working Tax Credit - which includes free NHS costs
- Incapacity Benefit
- Disability Living Allowance
- Attendance Allowance
- Disabled Person's Bus Pass
- Severe Disablement Allowance
- War Disablement Pension
