Introduction
Underbank Outdoor Activity Centre is located on the banks of Underbank reservoir and surrounded by the moorlands and woodlands of the Dark Peak.
At Underbank, we provide a wide range of adventurous activities all year round for groups to come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities.

Activities

You can choose from a range of activities to take part in, including:

At Underbank, we offer National Governing Body courses, including Instructor Training and Assessment. These can be taken separately or in conjunction with the above courses.
Community Based Activities
Underbank Staff can bring a number of adventurous/outdoor activities to your community setting or venue for a range of events/funday etc. Activities that groups have booked to date include:

- 12 metre Mobile Climbing Tower
- Mountain Boarding
- Kayaking
- Orienteering

Customer Service Standards
- A friendly welcome to the Centre and a polite, helpful and professional manner from staff
- The safe operation of the Centre to the standards required by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service (AALS). You can view our Operators Certificate on the AALS website.
- Activity leaders who hold National Governing Body Instructor qualifications
- Activity programmes that meet the agreed requirements of your group
- Programmes and activities suitable for people with a disability or special need
- You will be able to recognise our staff by their service clothing or from their personal introduction
- Our facilities will be clean, safe and comfortable

By Car
It is advisable to travel along the A616 bypass route to Underbank.
Continue until you reach the turn off from Midhopestones village. Turn left into Midhopestones and drive up the hill passing Ye Olde Mustard Pot on the right.
Take the next turning left and proceed along the lane for approximately 800 metres until you reach an opening in the trees - this is the car park for Underbank
By Bus
The no.57 operates from Sheffield Interchange approximately twice hourly.
This service terminates within a ten minute walk of the centre.
