Devonshire Green
Devonshire Green is a key green public open space within the boundary of Sheffield city centre. It is approximately 1.5 hectares in size. It is owned by Sheffield City Council, and managed by the Council's City Centre Management Team.
Located on Division Street, with boundaries on Eldon Street and Fitzwilliam Street, the green is easily accessible to disabled users and is well served by public transport. There is a cycle path, and car parking facilities nearby.
The area has a central grassed area that is landscaped to create an amphitheatre area, which can be used for a variety of activities and events. This central area is bordered by grass terracing for seating and bordered by sculptural walls that and planting beds.
We hold events on Devonshire Green throughout the year, such as the Memo Market, Sheffield Music City Festival, and spectacular live performances. For more information about upcoming events, visit the Event Sheffield website.
There is a network of tree lined footpaths across the area connecting the shopping area and route into the heart of the city centre with adjacent housing areas.
There is also a sizeable hard standing area for markets and events. To the lower end of the green is a concrete skatepark.
