Children of all ages, from babies to teenagers, can borrow a wide range of books, talking books and some videos on their own library cards.
 
Most of the service is free ...
 
There is no charge to join the library or to borrow books or for the use of most Information Services.

Please ask at any library for information on charges for:
 
  • the loan of CDs, videos and DVDs
  • value added information services
  • reserving items which are out on loan
 
If you have a disability, are unemployed or on income support, you are entitled to reductions to some charges or to have the charge waived.
 
How you can help
 
Please:
 
  • Always bring your library card if you wish to borrow books and other items
  • Let us know if you change address or lose your library card
  • Take care of material which you borrow or use
  • Pay overdue charges, fees and charges as they occur
 
 
Libraries can be busy places.  We aim to give everyone the help they need so you may have to wait for help at busy times.
 
Help us make the service a service for everyone. We reserve the right not to serve people who are abusive, violent or who make racist or sexist remarks.
