Sheffield  libraries have lots of activities for children and young people of all ages. Many have regular events you can get involved in as well as some fantastic sessions to keep you busy over the summer.
 

Summer Reading Challenge - Team Read

Libraries across Sheffield are getting on their marks and getting set to keep you reading throughout the summer holidays with Team Read. Just read six books during the summer, through your local library and you will receive great prizes along the way with a medal and a Team Read bag presented to those who complete the challenge. Younger children can be involved too with the Bookstart Crawl (for under 4's) just ask for details at your local library.
 

Chatterbooks Reading Groups 

Are you aged between 8 and 12?
 
Do you like reading and talking about books?
 
If so, then come along to one of our new Chatterbooks Reading Groups and join in the fun.
 

Teenage Reading and Writing Groups 

Think you could be the next J K Rowling or Philip Pullman or do you just enjoy a good book? Come along to one of our writing or reading groups and get involved.
 
Have you read a good book you would like to share with us? Tell us why with our online review form.  We are always happy to hear about books you think we should have in our libraries give us your suggestions.  We are particularly looking for your suggestions for books for the Sheffield Children's Book Award.  Books will need to be fiction titles first published in the UK during 2008.
 
Need help with homework? All our libraries have computers with internet access avaible for you to use. Call in or phone to book a session. Many libraries also have homework clubs where you can get help. Our list of useful websites might help too.
 

Sheffield Children's Book Award

Find out how you can get involved in this project either at school or in your local library. Read books from the shortlist and vote for your favourite, you could win a special signed copy of one of the books. Get reading, get voting!
