Off the Shelf Festival 2008

This year’s Festival will take place between 11 October and 1 November 2008.  The programme will once again feature a strong line up of well known authors, poets and media personalities offering a wide selection of events including readings, walks, talks, workshops, storytelling, exhibitions and competitions.   Many events will take place in libraries across the city.  The Festival will also include a series of events for children, young people and families during the October half term.

The Festival is delighted to announce that acclaimed illustrator, Shirley Hughes OBE, has accepted a commission to create this year’s Festival brochure cover.
