You said, we did ...
Here are some of the suggestions you have made in the last six months and our responses:
You said Make Burngreave Library brighter and more cheerful.
We have redecorated the library and put new graphics on the walls.
You said you would like to borrow more books.
We have increased the number you can have on loan at any one time from 10 to 15.
You said you would like a children’s Book Club at Ecclesfield Library
We have set up a Chatterboox Group for 8 – 10 year olds.
You said that sometimes the Archives Search room is too hot and sometimes it is too cold.
We are investigating the problem to see if there is a way of providing a comfortable, consistent temperature.
You said you would like books for adults learning English at Walkley Library
We have introduced a collection.
You said you would like a trolley at Totley library to use when choosing your books.
We are providing one.
You said you would like Environment Week events to have more presence on the events website.
We are giving each event its own entry in the calendar.
You said you wanted people to be aware of restrictions on using mobile phones in the Business, Science and Technology Library.
We have ordered more posters asking people to use their mobile phones considerately.
One suggestion we hope to implement later when the new library computer system is installed……….
To alert you by e-mail rather than letter that your reserved book is available.
One suggestion we cannot implement………
To send out overdue letters as soon as a book becomes overdue. We’re sorry but this would be too time consuming and expensive.Downloads
