Offers a specialist reference collection of printed material relating to Sheffield and the surrounding area, and makes it available for study and research. The collection of over 30,000 volumes includes books, pamphlets, journals and reports on all aspects of the city's history and development and the lives of its people.
Provides a library service to people unable to use a building based service.
The Music and Video library provides a comprehensive service offering CDs from all sorts of genres from chart hits to classical and everything in-between. They hold the latest DVDs and videos and a wide selection of sheet music and music books. The staff will also gladly help with any music and video related enquiries.
A searchable computerised image system holding over 23,000 pictures of Sheffield, the majority of which were taken before 1950.
Children's support material for teachers and student teachers in Sheffield's LEA primary, secondary and special schools. Support work to schools and their libraries. Responsible for children's services in the public library service.
Provides comprehensive information on local community organisations, services, facilities and events in Sheffield. Large collection of legal/welfare rights leaflets. Also reception service for the Central library.
Provides a service delivering books to Social Care Homes.
Provides sports information for anyone with an interest in sport and physical recreation, including the Alan Rouse Climbing and Mountaineering Collection.
Offers a subscription based metallic materials information service covering ferrous and non ferrous metals.
