Sheffield Archives collects, preserves and lists records relating to Sheffield and South Yorkshire and makes them available for reference and research.

The collection of over 30,000 volumes includes books, pamphlets, journals and reports on all aspects of the city's history and development and the lives of its people.
 
Free computer and internet access throughout Sheffield.
 
A searchable computerised image system holding over 23,000 pictures of Sheffield, the majority of which were taken before 1950. 
 
Provides sports information for anyone with an interest in sport and physical recreation, including the Alan Rouse Climbing and Mountaineering Collection.
