Broomhill and Highfield Libraries - Changes to Opening Hours
Following proposals agreed at the Broomhill, Central and Nether Edge Area Panel public meeting on 6 November 2008, we are piloting changed opening hours from 1 December 2008 until 31 March 2009.
The new opening hours for Highfield and Broomhill Libraries will be:
Broomhill
Monday 10am-7.30pm
Tuesday 10am-5.30pm
Wednesday 10am-5.30pm
Thursday Closed
Friday 10am-5.30pm
Saturday 10am-12.30pm & 1.30-4pm
Highfield
Monday 10am-7pm
Tuesday 10am-5.30pm
Wednesday 10am-5.30pm
Thursday Closed
Friday 10am-5.30pm
Saturday 10am-12.30pm & 1.30-4pm
The savings gained by the 30 minute reduction in opening hours per day will be spent on increasing book budgets (an additional £500 on library books for each area) as well as additional leaf cleaning and graffiti removal in the Area.
A survey will be undertaken in March to gain customer views on the impact of these changes.
