  • NewsUK - Search through a variety of national and local newspapers.  Also has useful news topics on a variety of issues including Religion.
 
  • Help Yourself - search for local religious and belief organisations in Sheffield.

  • Standard texts covering most major religions
  • Mythology, including multi-volume edition of Frazer’s “Golden Bough”
  • Bible dictionaries, encyclopaedias and commentaries
  • Church history, including works by John Wesley, John Owen.

  • Religious symbolism 
  • Yearbooks & directories
  • Sociology of religion, psychology of religion
  • Reference books covering a range of contemporary religious issues
 

Journals

  • Current subscriptions to Church Times, Church of England Newspaper, Baptist Times, Methodist Recorder, Universe, with 3 month backfiles.
  • Copies of The Tablet and The Jewish Chronicle from 1930 (incomplete – please check with staff if you want to see these).
  • Magazines such as Middle Way, The Freethinker, The Friend, Reform
